At Pixel Pilot Productions, we are passionate about helping scientists, engineers, and researchers communicate their work to a broad audience in an engaging way. We write, produce and edit content to help our clients reach their goals. Our vision is to share the awe-inspiring possibilities that science brings to a world hungry for beauty and innovation.
Robin Taber, founder and CEO of Pixel Pilot Productions, is an Instrument Rated Private Pilot and an adjunct instructor at Florida Atlantic University (FAU), where she teaches Drone Videography and Multimedia. Her background is rooted in Los Angeles’ entertainment industry, with extensive experience in television, including promo graphics design and animation for the ABC Television Network. She has worked on digital campaigns for MGM and Sony Pictures Home Entertainment, feature film special effects, magazine design, music packaging, and movie posters.
Robin specializes in digital media content creation, animation, drone videography, and science communication. She led a two-day drone workshop at FAU’s Harbor Branch Oceanographic Institute to help researchers prepare for the FAA 107 sUAS exam (drone pilot license) and improve their flying skills. She facilitates a Communicating Science workshop, helping undergrads and professionals reach the public and other non-technical audiences. For five years she created graphic intensive videos for FAU's Research Communications team, using animation to give visual context to university research that didn't exist in the physical world yet.
