Science is extraordinary. We make it look that way.
Pixel Pilot Productions helps scientists, engineers, and researchers turn complex work into compelling content — reaching wider audiences without losing the depth that makes the science matter.
We write, produce, and edit across formats, bringing your research to life through animation, video, and digital storytelling.
About Robin
Robin E. Taber founded Pixel Pilot Productions at the intersection of science and storytelling. An Instrument Rated Private Pilot and adjunct instructor at Florida Atlantic University, she teaches Drone Videography and Multimedia.
Her career spans two coasts and two worlds: years in Los Angeles shaping television promo graphics for ABC, digital campaigns for MGM and Sony Pictures, feature film VFX, music packaging, and movie posters — then a pivot toward science communication that's defined the work ever since.
At FAU's Harbor Branch Oceanographic Institute, Robin led drone workshops training researchers for FAA 107 licensure. She facilitates a Communicating Science workshop that helps students and professionals translate technical work for general audiences. For five years, she produced videos for FAU's Research Communications team — giving visual context to some research that didn't exist in the physical world yet.
